What’s the Difference?

Rabbit fur is soft, affordable, and stylish — great for fashion and light wear. But it’s not built for long-term exposure to the elements.

Nutria is more durable than rabbit, with better water resistance and a firmer hand.

Beaver felt — especially at 50X and 100X — is naturally water-resistant, long-lasting, and holds its shape better than any other material. It’s the gold standard for serious hat wearers.
